Ingredients
2cupsdark rum
5cupsbrandy
6applescored and chopped, do not peel
5cinnamon sticks
4cloveswhole
Brown Simple Syrup
2cupsbrown sugardark
2cupswater
Instructions
Core and chop 6 apples. Do not peel.
Place apples in large bowl. Gather 5 cinnamon sticks and 4 whole cloves.
Measure 2 cups of dark rum and 5 cups of brandy. Use good quality liquor as alcohol base.
Add apples, cinnamon sticks, cloves, rum and brandy to large jar. Cover jar and let sit in cool dark location for 7 days.
Strain mixture into large jar with cheesecloth over funnel or a fine mesh strainer. You will be left with the alcohol mixture.
Combine dark brown sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil for one minute. Let syrup completely cool. Add syrup to taste to the liqueur mixture.
