Just harvested the first of my tomatoes. Time to pull out the homegrown tomato recipes. With just a few ripe garden fresh tomatoes, I thought I would start with lunch. Who doesn’t love a fresh tomato sandwich?
Homegrown is so much tastier than store bought tomatoes. Why is that? Let’s start with being able to pick your tomatoes at the peak of the season. Those garden fresh tomatoes are able to ripen on the vine. Also, better tasting varieties such as heirlooms are favorite choices for backyard gardeners and local farmers.
